Dynamic Knowledgebase allows users to build and manage "atlases" of
data. Once data is registered in an atlas, it is automatically and
immediately available for use on the desktop (Dynamic Maps) or over
the Internet (Dynamic Web Maps).
Atlases (also called "warehouses") are a logical integrated
grouping of map layers, tabular data sets, related information,
and metadata / descriptions. These warehouses can be easily
distributed on CD so that people without access to the
network can use the data.
Each atlas contains relevant "topics", which
are a unique set of map layers, data sets and related information
depending on the characteristics of the data, geographic extent
and the subject matter.
Topics are stored in a hierarchy so that they can be related to
each other in a logical way that is immediately reflected when a
user launches Dynamic Maps or logs onto the web site.
Dynamic Knowledgebase handles spatial data using standard formats for
vector and raster files, tabular data from several database software
and Excel spreadsheets, documents in any format supported by the
operative system, and metadata information on spatial and tabular
data.
Dynamic Publisher allows users to take atlases and package
them for distribution via CD or DVD.
When a client runs the CD/DVD, Dynamic Maps Service Packs are
installed if necessary, and the atlas(es) is copied onto the user's
computer and automatically imported as a "Local" warehouse into Dynamic Maps.
As a result, when the user launches Dynamic Maps, the atlas(es) is
immediately available.
It is a completely automated way for you to provide your clients with the
atlases you produce along with the software to use them.
