National trainings: India, data distribution
During the national workshop of India, the GLCN staff distributed the national coverage of Landsat images (MSS, TM and ETM+ sensors, all bands) and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM)-based elevation data to participants. Data distribution was undertaken under the outreach activities programme promoted by GLCN for its members.
LANDSAT IMAGERY
The coverage for India of Landsat images takes almost 560 scenes and about 89 GB of file size (see summary).

SRTM mosaics
The coverage for Southern Africa of SRTM mosaics takes 8 and about 1.5 GB of compressed ARC/INFO grid files.

The figure on the right shows the Southern Africa DVD cover for SRTM data. The DVD also includes an ESRI ArcView project, country boundaries and index files for SRTM and Landsat data, a free software for rendering elevation and overlapping images (static 3D view), and various documents supporting the use of the data.
